Frequently Asked Questions
Is Phi Beta Psi affiliated with a college or university?
No, Phi Beta Psi is not affiliated with a college or university. It also is not affiliated with a governing entity, such as the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), or Multicultural Greek Council (MGC).
How much does it cost to join?
The cost to join is $35, plus a one-time initiation fee of $15. Annual membership is $35 per year.
What are the requirements for membership?
A woman who is at least 18 years old is eligible for membership. She does not need to have a college degree. We value motivated women who value Sisterhood, leadership, and women who are dedicated to our cause to fight against cancer.
Can I join if I am already a member of a sorority / Greek letter organization?
Yes, many of our Sisters have memberships in other organizations, including sororities. Because we are not affiliated with governed, collegiate-based sororities, we do not have that restriction.
Are there in-person chapters available?
Yes. We have chapters in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Ohio, and Virginia. Visit our national website to learn more.
